celebrating all things raw and beautiful,
wherever you are......
welcome!
When I started writing up this raw loveletter, we were actually in the thick of summer, erm.... year, but fresh Raw blossoms have been coming in so thick and fast, along with other life quirks, that summer of raw succulence has long since succumbed to this year's autumn,
at least where I am.
There is just so much happening in the Raw world- this summer the Raw Spirit Festival in Arizona reached new heights of delight- while, in Blighty, the Funky Raw 'Space of Love' was just that, thanks to Matt, Lara and Shell.
This brings us to the 'on-going evolution of the Raw Cake'. Shell makes cakes to thrive for, even the pics of them feed your soul, trully the play of pure 'heartistry.' You'll find Shell's confections and so much more at Manna Cafe- Brighton's new hub for all things Raw and Inspirational
Online, The RawFoodUK yahoo group, birthed by
Debbie Took and now tended by Pete Farrugia, is busy busy, as are pot lucks here and there...
Meanwhile Facebook also has a happy rash of Raw groups, check out the Raw Vegan group, brimming with delicious pics of all raw-ultra-yum- from Sunflower Lord.
The semi-legendary Dhrumil Phorit of 'We Like It Raw' has birthed 'Give It to Me Raw', now a plump and thriving cyber-community & the ultimate Raw Food Forum- easy to navigate, fresh and informative-
in short, a delight. Funny how 'delight' comes up so often when you talk about Raw!
Feedblitz bring you the latest and greatest from the fund of Raw blogs on the net too- so go there for tasters of leading Raw thought,
plus there's no excuse not to brush up on the brightest and best of all insights now that 'Rawkathon' is on a roll.
Rumour has it that, even in London, you can forage enough wild greens to keep a raw bod happy (check it out from Funky Raw Rob) and if you can't manage that, and live in the South East UK, we can give thanks to people like Hankham Organics who raise the most brilliant fresh delicious greens to be had. Meanwhile, apparently, you are hard pressed to find non-organic veg and fruit in one Tesco's in Notting Hill
( yay!), so its good to hear of things being the other way round, whatever one may otherwise think of Tescos ;-)
and talking of London, Suki Zoe has, of course, 'beat it' on her USA 'Rawdyssey'.......you can still catch her unlimited gems on www.qito.co.uk......there's so much more a-buzz that this page spills over-so click to continue!
